Cryotherapy has become a cornerstone of modern equine medicine. Whether your horse is recovering from a tendon injury, managing chronic laminitis, or returning from competition, targeted cold therapy reduces inflammation at the source — without sedation, without downtime, and without systemic side effects.
Conditions We Treat
From acute injuries to chronic conditions, cryotherapy offers meaningful relief across a range of equine health challenges.
Laminitis & Cellulitis protocols
Continuous cryotherapy of the hooves and lower limbs is one of the most effective interventions for acute laminitis, cellulitis reducing tissue damage and pain during the critical early phase.
Tendon & Ligament Injuries
Cold therapy reduces the inflammatory cascade following soft tissue injuries, limiting secondary damage and supporting faster, more complete healing of tendons and ligaments.
Back & Joint Inflammation
Localized cryotherapy targets inflamed joints — fetlocks, hocks, knees, and stifles — providing relief from osteoarthritis, synovitis, and post-injection soreness, Topline & Back soreness,
Post-Competition Recovery
After intense training or competition, cryotherapy flushes metabolic waste, reduces muscle soreness, and helps horses recover faster and return to work sooner.
How Equine Cryo Works
Our equine cryotherapy uses controlled cold application to the affected limbs or body areas. The cold causes vasoconstriction, reducing blood flow and inflammatory mediators to the tissue. When the cold is removed, a rebound vasodilation flushes the area with oxygenated blood — accelerating the healing process.
